AudaConnect beta
AudaConnect is a suite of services, documentation and applications which enable third party software developers to access, query, update and call services within the Audatex platform. Basically, it allows integration with Audatex at a far more sophisticated level than previously possibly, and empowers external developers with the ability to provide apps, services and functionality to Audatex customers without requiring bespoke integration or software development to be undertaken by the Audatex product development team.
Services and data is exposed using RESTful Web API methods, and can return data formatted for JSON or XML/SOAP, and can therefore be consumed by applications written in virtually any programming language on any platform.
Regardless of which system within Audatex developers need to access, AudaConnect uses the same APIs to allow you to search across product data, and provides a consistent methodology and standard of syntax throughout
We have invested heavily in our technology platform and ensuring that the communications layer is as efficient as possible, offering incredibly speedy access to services and data
Developers can only access data and services they have been granted permission to by Audatex or our customers. Customers never need to divulge passwords to third parties, and will always be asked by AudaConnect if a third party requests access to data or services on behalf of the customer. We are using the latest OAuth specification for ensuring all authorisation and authentication is secure.
At this point in time, because the AudaConnect API is in beta release, we have limited the scope of available services. As we work on showcase applications and work with partners on initial jointly developed solutions, we will open up more of the API. We are aiming to cover the following main areas of the platform at the time of our 1.0 general release:
Assessments - Search, download/upload, amend (admin/repair details/parts), retrieve/add photos, send to other companies, generate and download PDF reports, assign assessment to other users
Reference data - Query network addresses, company configuration, (groups and users), set user passwords (enabling Single Sign on with third party systems)
Assessments – As above – search scope can optionally include multiple product areas (eg. Lite, Gold, Mobile)
Search and query repair orders, create and populate new repair order, update repair order
